I have recently started using shareasale.com as my affiliate network of choice. I spend the past two years in affiliate marketing primarily selling digital items and ebooks. I’ve made some money but I have really been missing the boat.

I was introduced to shareasale.com by a good friend at Wealthy Affiliate. He said that he made $1,300 in the month of July marketing supplies for public restrooms. WHAT? Yes $1,300.

Talk about a niche market. How was he doing it? He joined shareasale.com and became an affiliate of a company that offers building supplies. Then he picked a catagory (Niche) to build a campaign around. He thought it would be funny to sell public restroom supplies. Turned out it has become very profitable.

In order to join shareasale.com you will have to have a website but once you join you can choose from several different merchants and types of products to sell. Some of the merchants require you to send traffic to your site first and some allow you to direct link to their site. Several of the merchants are set up to auto approve anyone who wants to be their affiliate while some want to review every application that comes in. I’m sure that with the 2,400 merchants that are part of the shareasale.com affiliate network you will find a merchant and niche that you can turn a profit in.
